Sodac : Music Composition Grant
I just got the news that I will be awarded a grant from the SODAC organisation on May 22nd. The jury has approved my project of composing a piece for String Quartet and Hurdy Gurdy. Hopefully i’ll get these pieces by the end of the summer.

Prix de la Releve 2008 Award - CMCC
Yesterday, Kim was awarded Prix de la Releve 2008 from the Conseil de la Culture et des Communications de la Montérégie.

Conseil des Arts & des Lettres du Quebec - Grant
What a great way to start the year! The CALQ has awarded me a grant to compose a String Quartet. This will be my first attempt at writing a piece for strings! For years I have been writing bits and pieces on the piano which I always imagined played by strings.

CBC Radio - BUCKY AWARDS NOMINATION
We’re nominated for our song ‘Dancing in Chains’ in the Catchiest Hook category, alongside Feist and Buck 65.
The Bucky Awards are CBC Radio 3’s annual year-end awards in Canadian music, and the winners are decided by Canada’s music fans in online voting at http://radio3.cbc.ca/buckyawards
Voting runs from Nov 1 – Nov 30, 2007. Winners will be unveiled in a special live broadcast on cbcradio3.com during the week of December 17th, 2007.
